Level 3 Metal Fabricator - M-Sport UK Ltd

M-Sport UK is a global motorsport engineering company known for designing, building and running championship winning rally cars across major series including the FIA World Rally Championship and World Rally Raid Championship.

This apprenticeship provides hands on training in specialist motorsport fabrication within the Shell Shop Department. The Apprentice Shell Fabricator supports the production, modification and repair of high performance competition car bodyshells while developing technical fabrication and engineering skills under the guidance of experienced professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the fabrication, assembly and preparation of competition car bodyshells.

• Learn and apply fabrication techniques including cutting, forming, drilling and fitting metal components.

• Support installation of roll cages, brackets, panels and reinforcement parts.

• Safely use hand tools, jigs and workshop equipment to a high level of accuracy.

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical build instructions.

• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.

• Work closely with designers, senior fabricators and technicians to meet build schedules and quality standards

• Strong interest in engineering, fabrication, welding and motorsport.

• Knowledge of engineering principles.

• Practical workshop ability and willingness to learn hands on skills.

• Good attention to detail and organisational skills.

• Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team.

• Effective communication and problem solving skills.

• MIG and TIG welding experience desirable.
