Burlington Slate Ltd are looking for a Level 3 Business Administrator Apprentice to join their team for an immediate start!
Established in 1843, we are a family run, British company who are today the guardians of the 500 year old traditional slate and stone industry in Cumbria.
Job Purpose
To provide hands-on support to the Maintenance and Engineering Manager through shared delegation of operational administrative responsibilities. This is an essential role in supporting the team and ensuring smooth operations across various departments. The induvial will work with all colleagues and managers carrying out various administrative and organisational tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Acting as a point of contact for all stakeholder engagement.
- Help maintain maintenance systems through collaboration with the maintenance manager, maintenance team and the workforce.
- Manage relationships with contractors and service providers through organising service and repair work.
- Help with administration of maintenance database and systems.
- Procure parts and spares to ensure that all repairs and maintenance activities can take place.
- Organising filing systems.
- Responding to questions and requests information.
- Processing invoices, tracking receipts and general running of the NAV systems.
- Aid in organising with site maintenance activities such as waste disposal, ordering water and gas.
- Aid in managing documentation and compiling information for audits.
- Working alongside the Maintenance Team.
- Reporting to Engineering Manager.
- Liaising and working with other team members at Burlington Stone and within the Holker Group.
