Job Description

 
Forth Engineering Limited are looking for a Business Admin apprentice to join the team in the Barrow office. Within this role you will provide commercial administrative support across all departments and areas of the business including purchasing, ISO quality and environmental systems, customer feedback, accounts, projects, trade and many other duties that require a high degree of attention to detail, all whilst delivering excellent customer service.

Job description 
  • Answering all incoming phone calls in a timely and professional manner, transferring calls and taking accurate messages 
  • Using outlook to type out messages and emailing them to the relevant staff
  • Ensuring messages about call outs for the trade counter are delivered to trade either by phone, email or by delivering the message in person
  • Meeting and greeting all visitors to the premises
  • Making refreshments for visitors and staff in meetings and clearing up afterwards.
  • Ensuring all meeting rooms are clean and tidy before and after meetings
  • Appointment setting in Outlook for the Managing Director and Projects Director, with reminders prior to meetings
  • Ensuring all visitors, staff, and customers are treated with respect and bearing in mind equality, diversity and inclusion. This includes examples such as people with a hearing or sight impairment, people with a learning disability, or a wheelchair user. Ensuring the front of house is kept in pristine condition. All desks, windowsills and floor area should be kept clear of clutter, look smart and professional, and free of trip hazards.
  • Assist in aspects of the Procurement
  • Assisting with producing marketing material for our marketing company to use on social media and the website 
  • Admin support for EHS&Q (Environmental, Quality, Health and Safety) across all Forth Engineering sites.

Working hours 
Monday - Thursday:  7:30am - 16:30pm 
Friday: - 7:30am - 11:30pm 
 
Annual leave entitlement - 22 days 
 

Qualifications

Maths and English GCSE or equivalent grades A-C / 4-9
