Monkwray Junior School is seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and motivated Teaching Assistant Apprentice to join their team this September!
Key Responsibilities

Support teachers in delivering planned learning activities and classroom programmes.

Assist with monitoring, assessing, and recording pupil progress and behaviour.

Provide feedback and encouragement to pupils to support attainment and confidence.

Prepare and organise classroom resources and learning materials.

Promote pupils’ social, emotional, and physical wellbeing.

Encourage inclusion and independent learning for all pupils.
-
Supervise pupils during classroom activities, educational visits, and school events.

Assist in maintaining a safe, secure, and positive learning environment.

Support classroom displays and organisation of learning spaces.
-
Work collaboratively with staff, parents/carers, and external agencies where appropriate.

Follow all school policies including safeguarding, confidentiality, health & safety, and child protection procedures.
Skills and Qualities
- Good communication and teamwork skills.

Working hours: Monday - Friday: 8:45am - 3:45pm
Salary: £8.00 per hour
Annual Leave Entitlement: 5.6 weeks
