Kirkaldy & Roe Ltd are seeking two motivated individuals to join their team as Apprentice Groundworkers this September!
The successful candidates will work alongside experienced site teams across various locations in North Cumbria. You will develop the practical skills and industry knowledge required to prepare ground sites for major civil engineering and construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out site preparation duties, including clearing land and securing site perimeters
- Assist with excavation work, including digging foundations, trenches, and channels
- Support drainage installation by positioning and connecting pipework
- Complete concreting tasks such as laying sub-bases and pouring foundations
- Assist with paving and finishing work, including installing kerbs and flagstones
- Maintain safe and tidy working environments on construction sites
- Follow all company health and safety procedures and regulations
- Work effectively as part of a team while developing practical construction skills

- Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions

- Physically fit and capable of manual work and lifting
- Willingness to travel to various work sites across North Cumbria
Training & Benefits
- Fully accredited Level 2 Groundworker Apprenticeship qualification

Working Hours
Monday - Friday: 8:00am – 4:30pm
Salary
£8.00 per hour
