Job Description

Cheeky Monkeys Childcare are looking to recruit a Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprentice to join their team in September! 
 
Cheeky Monkeys Childcare offers a safe, nurturing environment within our 52 place nursery, where all children will get the attention and care that they need. 
 
Key Responsibilities 
  • To participate in all aspects of daily routines, health and hygiene and safety and fully implement policies related to those areas.
  • To ensure that every child feels secure, safe and successful within the nursery.
  • To provide a happy safe environment where children continue to thrive and develop to their full potential.  
  • To contribute to the intellectual, physical, social, emotional and moral development of all children. 
  • Communicate with the nursery manager and deputy manager to identify and provide for the needs of individual children within the room. 
  • To support individual children with special needs identified by the nursery. 
  • To contribute in a team situation to the orderly management and maintenance of the established daily routines. 
  • To ease the children's transition from home to nursery and to recognise the importance of creating positive links with parents in line with nursery policies i.e. visits and meetings with parents. 
  • To liase with parents and carers for the development of a close relationships and to ensure they are well informed of the day to day running of the nursery.
  • To respect the confidentiality of all information relating to the children, their families and the nursery. This includes adhering to the data protection act. 
  • To assist with children's independence e.g. toileting. 
  • To contribute to the preparation and presentation of displays. 
  • To be involved in out of working hours activities e.g. training, staff meetings, parent play days and fundraising events.

  • Good organisational, record keeping and planning skills. 
  • Punctuality.
  • Excellent communication skills, with children, colleagues, advisors and parents/carers. 
  • Patience. 
  • Empathy with children, colleagues and parents/carers. 
  • Reliability and trustworthy. 
  • Enthusiasm for working with young children. 
  • Flexibility - occasionally working hours may change. 
  • Able to work as a team. 
 
Working hours 
Monday - Friday 7.30am-5.30pm

28 days
