Victoria Junior School is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team this September!
In this role, you will work alongside teachers to support teaching and learning across the school. You’ll provide specialist support to help maximise pupil development and achievement.
Key Responsibilities

Work with individuals and groups of pupils under the guidance of a qualified teacher to deliver and adapt learning activities, both inside and outside the classroom.

Prepare the classroom for the day’s learning

Assess, record, and report on pupil development, progress, and attainment in line with pre-determined learning objectives.

Undertake assessments as requested by the class teacher or headteacher.

Input and manage data to support the monitoring of pupil progress.

Attend and contribute to professional meetings, including parents’ evenings, when required.

Support the social, emotional, and physical well-being of pupils, and report any concerns to the appropriate staff member.

Ensure all resources/equipment are put back in order for the next lesson or day.

Maintain classroom resources (e.g., sharpening pencils, organising stationery).

Control stock of equipment.

Identify and support SEN pupils through specialist programs or equipment.

Knowledge and Compliance with School Policies and Procedures
Staff are expected to be fully aware of and adhere to all school policies and procedures, including code of conduct, child protection, safeguarding, health and safety, site security, confidentiality, and data protection. Any concerns must be promptly reported to the appropriate designated person.
Working hours: Monday - Friday: 08:30am - 4:00pm
Annual Leave Entitlement: 5.6 weeks
