Clark Door are looking to appoint one Level 3 Metal Fabricator apprentices to join their growing team in September. This apprenticeship is designed for individuals looking to start a rewarding career in engineering, particularly within the fields of welding and fabrication.
The chosen candidates will train as a skilled metal fabricator capable of manufacturing complex fabricated structures using a wide range of metals, fabrication techniques and welding processes, Apprentices will support the production of custom doors and structural components for specialised use in construction, industry and architecture.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with the marking, cutting, forming and assembly of metal parts.
- Learn to interpret technical engineering drawings and use them to guide work.
- Carry out welding and fabrication tasks under supervision using MIG and TIG processes.
- Prepare and finish materials to precise specifications using a variety of hand tools and machinery.
- Comply with all safety, quality and environmental procedures.
- Communicate effectively with team members ad supervisors.
- Attend off-the-job training sessions and complete coursework and assessments as required.
- Demonstrate commitment to learning and progressing your role.
