Job Description

Roxanne UK have a fantastic upcoming opportunity for an apprentice to join the Engineering team in September! Within this apprenticeship you will work towards becoming a fully qualified engineer well prepared to join the site engineering team as a shift engineer. Undertaking learning at college as part of the apprenticeship program as well as taking on site learning opportunities to become a competent multiskilled maintenance engineer.

Main duties and Responsibilities;
  • Assist with the maintenance and repair of faults on plant and equipment for site under strict supervision
  • Learn and be tested on relevant skills and knowledge from College and Peers and apply them into the workplace
  • Be supportive, act with integrity, show enthusiasm and embrace openness
  • Have an awareness of lean manufacturing work practices including 5s, AM, PM, Problem solving (including root cause analysis) to drive continuous improvement activity at site
  • Communicate and co-operate with colleagues in order to achieve goals and maintain product quality
  • Accurately complete all reporting and recording procedures applicable to designated tasks
  • Assist with the repair and maintenance of production machinery, using your assigned mentor
  • Ensure you apply your knowledge and skill from college and peers within the workplace
  • Take advantage of your peers who will guide you through processes and improve learning and knowledge
  • Be aware of personal impact on environment and end users e.g. effluent/waste/customer complaints
  • Play an active part in any continuous improvement activities as required
  • Develop a strong understanding of mechanical electrical and fluid power systems
  • Learn basic mechanical and electrical skills as well as the underpinning knowledge
  • Carry out any other tasks as may be reasonably requested by management
  • Act on your own initiative
  • Ensure proper time management
  • Take opportunities for personal development of knowledge and skills
  • You will also be expected to follow all Health and Safety rules and regulations and HR Policies and practices to ensure a safe and compliant workforce
 
 

Qualifications

Maths, English and Science at GCSE grade 5 or above
